What is the purpose of Fluoride and should my child have fluoride treatment by our dentist?

Fluoride can be used in a variety of forms: Gel, foam or liquid. Fluoride is applied to your teeth during a check-up to help prevent cavities. Your dentist will talk to you about your total exposure to fluoride to determine if you need treatment.
